Northern Counties Health Care Introduces New Corporate Logo

St. Johnsbury, VT – Northern Counties Health Care, an area non-profit organization serving the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont with a rural network of five community health centers, three dental practices, and a home care and hospice division, is introducing a new corporate logo.

The logo, designed by Earthlogic, a branding and design firm located in Essex, VT, is part of a new marketing initiative that will include a new website for the organization, also being designed by Earthlogic.

“Our old logo has been in use since 1976. As we started planning for the new website, we realized that this was a great opportunity to update our corporate logo, one that better reflects the scope and mission of NCHC as it operates today,” said Shawn Tester, CEO. “We serve a diverse audience of people, offering compassionate care in our community health centers or in the privacy of our patient’s homes.”

The process to develop the new logo included several design phases and a company-wide survey to choose the final version. The new logo was introduced during NCHC’s Annual Meeting on October 11 and will start to be incorporated across the entire NCHC system.

“We still offer the same compassionate care, but with a new look,” said Tester. The new NCHC website is scheduled to be introduced in early 2019.

The service area of NCHC includes Caledonia Home Health Care & Hospice, Concord Health Center, Danville Health Center, Hardwick Area Health Center, Island Pond Health & Dental Center, Northern Counties Dental Center, Orleans Dental Center, and St. Johnsbury Community Health Center.

If you do business in or around Chittenden County (or the entire State of Vermont for that matter) then you probably know the name Esther Lotz.  Esther is a regular fixture in every edition of Business People Vermont.  Ask any business owner you know and chances are they have had at least one conversation with Esther during her career in local commercial real estate.

Over a decade ago, Earthlogic helped a once shy Esther to get the word out on her fledgling LLC Brokerge firm.  It wasn’t long before she began taking our advice to heart which led to a new website (that worked well for Esther for almost a decade), and resulted in the monthly presence you see in BPV magazine.

Recently, we worked with Esther on a new Mobile Responsive website redesign to improve the user experience for the ever increasing percentage of her target audience searching for commercial properties to buy, sell or lease.

Earthlogic Launches vitaminwater sponsored Documentary Website

Vitamin AngelsFrom the U.S. to Peru to India, three young award-winning filmmakers tell the story of how vitaminwater’s Vitamin Angels are changing the lives of children around the world with vitamins via “A Supporting Role.”

A Supporting Role tells the story of micronutrient deficiencies and what Vitamin Angels are doing to help solve this serious worldwide health problem.

Vitamin Angels helps at-risk populations in need—specifically pregnant women, new mothers and children under five—gain access to lifesaving and life changing vitamins and minerals. In 2013, Vitamin Angels reached 30 million children in about 45 countries, including the US, with the vital nutrients they need as a foundation for good health. In 2014, they are working to reach 40 million children.

Earthlogic was hired mid-December to develop “A Supporting Role” site in just two short weeks during the busy holiday season. The goals of the site were to 1) facilitate engagement of new and existing supporters through e-mail collection, social media and donations, and 2) attract and educate viewers and partner consumer audiences.

In addition, the site needed to be easy to update and mobile-responsive. Not only did Earthlogic, collaborate to design the site in 11 days, we developed and delivered the site with time to spare and within the client’s target budget.

Once we completed a 30 minute training session with Vitamin Angels, they have been fully autonomous making all site updates themselves. According to the client, Earthlogic met or exceeded all targets given to them and made the process simple and affordable.

The Cobbler’s have broken the cycle! (The kids have new shoes)

As web developers, designers, technologists, and branding professionals, we too often find ourselves heads down in the trenches working for our clients, ultra focused and working towards deadlines – while throwing our own website redesign and self-improvements to the sidelines. The famous (and highly relevant) phrase goes: “The Cobbler’s Children Have No Shoes.”

Well, no more. 11-12-13 marked the launch of our new Mobile-Responsive website. We hope you find it engaging, relevant, attractive, and informative. Check it out on your computer, tablet and smartphone. The site should change format dynamically as you view on different devices or resize your browser screen.

Sterling Construction Inc website wins best at BHA 2013 show

In 2012, Earthlogic worked with Sterling Construction to redesign their company website. The site is a great showcase of their new home and remodeling construction work. The best part is the client portal we developed for Sterling to share with their clients. Each of Sterling’s clients receives a login to visit their portal page where Sterling Construction staff upload project pictures and status updates a minimum of twice per week during project peak activities.

Vermont Dept of Fish and Wildlife find success moving agents to POS

Earthlogic has been working with the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife for almost a decade. After launching the original department website in 2002, Earthlogic delivered online licensing capabilities in June of 2004. The department received a full return on their investment within 7 days of launching the new online license system.

With online licensing having been such a successful endeavor, the department decided to move all license agents in the state to a web-based point of sale system. Once again, they approached Earthlogic to develop a system where the agents could access the department’s Point of Sale using a secure login, and sell all license types available to both Vermont residents and non-residents.

Included in the new system are tools for law enforcement that are mobile-friendly so they can view valid license information when confronting potential violators.

First Night Burlington buttons and tickets now on sale

First Night Burlington has engaged Earthlogic every year since the Millenium celebration to develop their annual event brand and all related web, e-commerce, and print materials. The 2014 celebration marks the 31st anniversary of the event. New for this year will be a dedicated Mobile site that will allow First Night patrons to gain quick and easy access to artist, venue, and performance information. What is really cool is the ability to build your own schedule on either the First Night website or mobile site and be able to add / modify / delete events on the fly – making this the most interactive First Night ever.

Earthlogic President, Chris Kesler, served on the board of directors for 7 years. In 2002, the Earthlogic designed First Night Burlington website was named best website at the First Night International conference. The following year, Earthlogic was asked to design the First Night International website and attend and present at the annual First Night International conference in St. Petersburg Florida.

Buttons and tickets for this year’s event went on sale October 1st on the First Night website and at their box-office which also uses the web-based point of sale capabilities build into the First Night website back-office.
